Facilities

Magdalene House has been extended over recent years to provide a wide range of accommodation. Our home is registered for 52, although quite large provides many areas for daily living. Within our home there are five lounges and two conservatories. These areas are furnished to a high standard to give a comfortable homely atmosphere. Residents are encouraged to move between these rooms to meet and socialise with others, they may use these areas to receive visitors as an alternative to using their own rooms should they so wish.

In addition there are five dining areas, again creating a more homely environment.

Our two conservatories prove very popular with our resident and are situated at the rear of the home overlooking the gardens.

The majority of bedrooms are single with en suite facilities, the remaining comprise of single rooms all with hand basins and a small number or double rooms. All rooms have a nurse call system and television points.

The Home has eight bathrooms, the majority of which can accommodate residents requiring specialist care.

The most up to date laundry facilities are available within the home. This service is carried out by our designated laundry assistants.

A three person lift is available to all floors as well as stair lifts. A second kitchen is situated on the second floor and is available for use by residents and there visitors. A quiet sitting area is also available on this floor enjoying views over the surrounding area.

There are ample parking facilities at the rear of the property where the home can be accessed by wheelchair users.

Dining

Wholesome food prepared from fresh produce and appetizingly presented throughout the day. Our cooks and management are happy to discuss any special dietary needs or requests at any time.

Breakfast is served from 6.30am.

Mid morning refreshments.

12 noon – Lunch is served in dining areas.

Mid afternoon refreshments.

5.00pm – Tea served in dining areas.

Evening refreshments

An alternative is always available if a resident wishes.
